It is the third Asia-Pacific version of the franchise after The Amazing Race Asia and The Amazing Race: China Rush; thus it is the first Oceanian franchise. The grand prize for the winning team is. The Asian cable TV network AXN Asia was among the first to acquire the rights to produce a version for its territories. The show is produced by Australian television production company ActiveTV, for AXN, in association with Buena Vista International Television-Asia Pacific. The host for the show is Singapore based Chinese-American actor Allan Wu. The ultimate prize is US$100,000, whilst the American show gives away US$1,000,000. The general manager of SPE Networks-Asia which runs AXN, Ricky Ow explained the smaller prize, saying, "It is not really about the money but the adventure and opportunity to be in one of the world's greatest reality shows".

Applications were open from 11 October 2011 to 31 October 2011. Filming took place in January 2012. Ex-football player Freddy dos Santos is the presenter of The Amazing Race Norge. The first season premiered on 11 April 2012. It is produced by Rubicon TV in association with ABC Studios.

It features eleven teams of two with pre-existing relationships, who will vie for the prize of ₱2 million in a race around the Philippines. It premiered on October 29, 2012 and airs every Mondays to Fridays at 9:00 PM and Saturdays at 8:30 PM on TV5 and is hosted by Derek Ramsay. The show is produced by the Australian production company, activeTV, which has also produced The Amazing Race Asia, The Amazing Race Australia, an Israeli version called HaMerotz LaMillion, and the Ukrainian version called Velyki perehony. It is the fifth Asia-Pacific version after The Amazing Race Asia, The Amazing Race Australia, The Amazing Race: China Rush, and The Amazing Race Vietnam.

On March, 2010, a Chinese version of the show was announced by the Disney-ABC International Television Asia Pacific. The show was produced by Shanghai based international production company Fly Films; the company had previously produced Shanghai Rush in 2009, a showed heavily influenced by The Amazing Race. The first series was filmed in March/April 2010 and broadcast in August 2010 by International Channel of Shanghai. The host for the show is Singapore based Chinese-American actor Allan Wu, who was also the host of The Amazing Race Asia. For the second season, it was announced that DragonTV would broadcast the Chinese-language version of the show.

This season was also produced by Venezuelan television company Cinemat. The show is the second Latin American version of the franchise. The first was A Corrida Milionária, the Brazilian version of the franchise. It was also the first version in the Spanish language. For the fourth season, a special Portuguese-language edition of the show, Edição Brasil, was made. It was hosted by Brazilian model and actor Paulo Zulu. It featured teams from Brazil in a race mostly concentrated across Brazil.

Hosted by Rony Curvelo, it was independently produced and aired in a purchased time slot in the Brazilian television network RedeTV!. The show premiered on 13 October 2007 and ended on 5 January 2008. Friends Patricia & Sane were the winners of the race.

The show premiered on 13 April 2013 at 20:00 EEST. The prize for winning the show is ₴500,000. The finale aired on 29 June with Beauty Queens from Lviv Valeria Nikiforets & Bohdana Primak winning the race. A special "Life after the race" episode aired on 6 July. A second season is currently being cast.
