There are three days left until I release the StarCraft: Final Metamorphosis animation.

To celebrate this, here are two posters for you, featuring iconic characters from the StarCraft storyline.

So get ready. On the 27th of October, the Final Metamorphosis is upon us.

I’m very happy to announce that I’m a couple days away from finishing visual production on my animation, StarCraft: Final Metamorphosis. What does this mean?

Expect a final release at the middle of October!

Now, I know I’ve said it’s almost ready before. There was even a trailer released at the end of June saying Summer is really the release date. So why the delay? (other than my freelance work taking priority over personal projects)

I’ve expanded several scenes from the animation, by adding new shots and editing others. I’ve added new content in scenes that started showing their age. I’ve improved particle effects and armor detail on some  of the characters. Several new voice actors have lent their voices to the project, enriching the overall experience. More on that on release day!

The final animation has over 7 minutes of length, which might not sound like much, but it was the biggest personal project I’ve ever made and it’s longer than any other StarCraft related animation, official or unofficial (I’m looking at you, StarCraft: Ghost intro). So that’s a record I’m happy to break!

Just want to give a heads up about what’s going on with me.

I will be releasing a new tutorial, Smart Asteroids, this month. It will enrich your space scenes in no time.

The StarCraft Final Metamorphosis animation is steadily nearing completion. It was initially to be launched last year, but I’ve decided to take my time with it and do it properly. Other projects also took time away from it, and life got in the way a couple times too. But I’m almost ready to send it off to Piotr Musial for musical score and release it.

It was great fun putting this behemoth together, I will be doing many more starships after this animation is done.

There’s a VFX Demo Reel that you can see here. Loved doing camera tracking and integrating CG into live action, hope you dig it too.

I’ve been busy working on the Demo Reel, so I took a pause from the StarCraft Final Metamorphosis animation. However, I’m back on it and there’s a new trailer for it.

Reuploaded the StarCraft First Contact animation from 2009, since it was offline for a while due to unforeseen circumstances. You can find it in the Projects section to the right.
